Becoming a friend of Whirlwind is vital to the growth and development of the company. It will enable you to feel a part of this exciting and inclusive theatre project for and with children, and will help us to keep in touch with what you would like us to provide.
In many theatre companies the friends of club has become their life blood and a great place to socialise for both old and young alike. With the development of the new building we want parents to feel a part of Whirlwind Theatre as much as the actors and children. Whirlwind Theatre is now part of Key Cultural Partners in Lancaster that includes The Dukes, Litfest and Ludus dance amongst others.
What are Friends of the Company?
Friends of the company are a volunteer group that organise fund-raising and social events, help with the day to day running including helping with costume making, back stage childcare, front of house team, selling programmes and coffee, providing accommodation for actors and regular donations etc.
What will I get in return?
You will get regular newsletters, a membership card that will be stamped every time you help, which in turn will act as money off tokens for workshop fees or tickets, and by pledging to offer regular help or donations you will also be entitled to a Whirlwind T- Shirt.
